Dr.Clauder is a medium-sized family business from the Lower Rhine with a long tradition and decades of expertise in the production of food and nutritional supplements for dogs and cats.

With our headquarters in Hamminkeln in the Lower Rhine region, close to Wesel and Bocholt, we sell our products in 65 countries and provide around 100 employees and 10 office dogs with a secure and future-oriented workplace. BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON THE STUDIES

The annual studies “Prize Winners” and “Germany’s Best” are based on the two-stage social listening method. In the first step, the Institute for Management and Economic Research analyses websites, social media channels or news sites to find out which brands or companies are being talked about “how”.


Source base “Prize Winner 2022”: 19,000 companies and brands were examined. Around 11 million mentions were identified and recorded in a database within the study period from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.


Source base “Germany’s Best 2022”: Around 58 million mentions of around 20,000 companies and brands were identified and assigned during the study period between April 2021 and April 2022.

The second step, known as processing, analyses the collected data according to the specifications of the respective object of investigation. For the categories of price-performance ratio and brand image, a three-stage evaluation is carried out based on the following key questions:

  • Which brand is mentioned?
  • How is the topic of “value for money” or the brand discussed?
  • What is the tone of the text fragment?

The mentions are evaluated using a sentiment analysis and assigned to the categories positive, neutral or negative. A conversion key then converts the results into comparable point values. Dr.Clauder's achieved 100 points in each of the current studies, setting the standard for the pet food manufacturing industry.
